Don the Donamarc Duck is more than a friendly face - he's a symbol of the family values, kindness, and community spirit that have been at the heart of Donamarc Water Supply for more than 40 years.
Created in honor of our founder, Donald Mantel, Don represents the legacy of a man whose commitment to serving others continues to shape our company today.

The Story Behind Don
In 2026, Donamarc Water Supply introduced Don the Donamarc Duck during our annual Customer Appreciation Celebration as a tribute to our founder, Donald Mantel.
Donald passed away in 2025, but his values continue to guide everything we do. His dedication to family, integrity, and caring for others helped build Donamarc into the company it is today.
The inspiration for Don comes from a cherished piece of family history. Donald was named after Donald Duck, a story that has been shared through generations and became part of the Mantel family's identity. Combined with the family's Dutch heritage and long-standing connection to the duck as a meaningful symbol, Don became the perfect way to honor Donald's memory while carrying his legacy into the future.
A Community Ambassador
Since joining the Donamarc family, Don has been making appearances throughout our community.
From local celebrations to community events, Don enjoys meeting families, supporting local organizations, and sharing a little fun wherever he goes.
One of Don's first official appearances was a special welcome by the Mayor of Green, marking the beginning of many community adventures to come.

Soap Box Derby Parade
One of Don's newest friends is Derby Downs, the Soap Box Derby's duck mascot.
The two ducks are kicking off a series of fun collaborations, appearing together at community events and bringing smiles to families throughout the area.
